Ms. Brown recently joined Union Bank as Head of Inclusion & Diversity. She will guide our Executive I&D Council and serve as a link between our employee Enterprise Resource Groups and Business Unit I&D Councils across the company. Based on her previous experience and work ethic, she will help us drive further success in our diversity and inclusion commitments.
She has held leadership roles for the past two decades while working at Wells Fargo. Her diverse background includes strategy, transformation, and program development for various workforce, marketplace, and social impact and sustainability initiatives. Ms. Brown earned a Master of Business Administration from Montreat College and is a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University.
As a Black History Maker, Okeatta was the youngest Chairwoman of the Urban League of Central Carolinas Board of Directors. Currently, she serves as co-chair for the 19th annual UNCF Maya Angelou Women Who Lead Luncheon. Okeatta is also recognized as one of Pride Magazine’s 51 Most Powerful Women, was granted an Award of Excellence by the Iowa Minority Supplier Development Council, and received a Leadership Award from the Urban League of Central Carolina Young Professionals.
She has demonstrated a passion for service and community stewardship throughout her career, and Union Bank is thrilled to have her join the team.
