What to expect
Your first step in the process will be completing an application. Our Mortgage Consultants will walk you through each and every step as well as order a credit report and help you submit all the required documents. Many forms can be filled out and submitted digitally, making the process even smoother and simpler.
Most of the work here is done on our end as we review your application, appraise the property, and provide you with initial disclosures. These disclosures provide you the buyer important protections and transparency into the home buying process.
Once we’ve collated the necessary documents, Union Bank will review your application and make a decision to approve or deny.
At this point, our mortgage experts will provide the final loan documents necessary to complete your loan transaction. As always, we will ensure every “i” is dotted and every “t” crossed, and answer any questions you may have.
This is the day you’ve been waiting for. During closing, all loan documents are sent to a Closing Agent (or in some cases an Escrow or Title Company) who will oversee the signing of all final loan documents. Once the signatures are complete, the loan is funded and you become an official homeowner.
