Easy to set up

On your Samsung® phone or tablet:

  1. Download the app from Google Play, then sign into your Samsung account.
  2. Scan your fingerprint or iris and enter a PIN to authenticate future purchases.
  3. Snap a picture of your Union Bank® debit card and/or credit cards and provide your signature where necessary. 
  4. Start shopping to see how easy it is to use.

 

On your Samsung Gear® watch:

  1. From any screen in the smartwatch, press and hold "Back" for 1-2 seconds.
  2. Rotate the bezel clockwise to view basic instructions and then touch the arrow to begin setting up Samsung Pay.
  3. If you have not signed into your Samsung account, you will be required to sign in. Touch "OK" to continue.
  4. On your mobile device, touch "Start."
  5. To add a Union Bank debit card and/or credit card, touch "Add card." Note that payment cards must be added to the smartwatch even if they have already been added to the Samsung Pay app.

Is Samsung Pay secure?

Samsung Pay uses a unique, transaction-specific code for all purchases. This means that your credit card and debit card data is not stored on Samsung servers or on your Samsung device, and retailers never see your card numbers. To learn more about Samsung Pay security and privacy, click here.

Which devices can I use?

Where can I use Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay works almost anywhere you can swipe or tap your card. Samsung Pay does not currently work at gas station pumps where you have to insert your card, but it will work at most gas station cashier card readers. What Union Bank cards can I add to my Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay works with any of your Union Bank Visa® Credit Cards, your Union Bank Debit Mastercard®, as well as your Union Bank Debit Mastercard BusinessCard®.

How do I change my default card to my Union Bank debit card or credit card?

Samsung Pay does not have the option to set a default card. When you open Samsung Pay, the most recently used, viewed or added card will display.
