About Capitola

The Union Bank Capitola branch is proud to serve Santa Cruz, Capitola, Soquel, Aptos, Corralitos and the surrounding areas of Santa Cruz County. Santa Cruz County is known for its moderate climate, scenic coastlines, and redwood forests. It is also home to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, an oceanfront amusement park operating since 1907 and voted best beach boardwalk in the country. We are located at the corner of Bay Ave. and Capitola Rd., across the street from Gayles Bakery and less than a mile from Highway 1 at the Bay Ave. exit The parking entrance is located just before the stop sign at the intersection of Bay Ave. and Capitola Rd. This branch location was originally the home to a parish of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, established in 1904. Saint Joseph's Church and Rectory continued service at this site for the majority of the century, becoming one of the prominent landmarks of the city of Capitola. The church moved to a newly built facility in 1973, and many of our clients still remember attending wedding and events in the building now known as Union Bank of Capitola. Our team is pleased to welcome and assist our clients in English and Spanish.
