How do I create a good password?
A crucial step for keeping your Online Banking service secure is to create a good password. Do not choose a password that someone could guess easily. Here are some tips for creating a good password:

DO:

  • Use a combination of letters and numbers
  • Use the first letters of a phrase that is familiar to you
  • Substitute numbers for letters where possible (like zero for the letter O)
  • Use phonetic replacements (like "phund" for "fund")
  • Change your password periodically

DO NOT:

  • Use personal information (such as name, birthday, or Social Security number)
  • Use words or abbreviations found in the dictionary without adding letters or numbers
  • Use obvious patterns of letters (such as "asdf") or numbers (such as "9876")
  • Tell anyone your password
  • Write it down
  • Send a password over email
