Help - Add External Transfer Account

You will have the ability to set up an account at another bank within the United States for transfers. If you own the account at the other bank, you will be able to make transfers to and from your Union Bank account. If you do not own the account at the other bank, you will be able to make transfers only from your Union Bank account. Simply provide the information requested and follow the instructions to complete the add account process.
When can I start making transfers?
External Account that you own:
The time it takes to set up a new external transfer account that you own depends on the verification method that is selected.
For the Sign On verification method, you will need to enter your user name or online ID and password for the account at the other bank. This information will be used only once to verify that you own the account. Union Bank will not store this information for future use. Once the account has been verified, it will be immediately available for transfers
For the Trial Deposit verification method, Union Bank will make two small transactions between $0.01 and $0.99 to your account at the other bank. Once the transactions have posted to the account at the other bank, identify the amounts, go to the Add Accounts page, and select the Verify link next to the account you want to verify. Enter the two amounts and select Next. If the amounts match what we have on file, your account will be available for transfers.
External Account that you do not own:
Setting up a new external transfer account that you do not own takes six business days. After that time, the new account will appear in your list of accounts available for transfers.
