UNION BANK OPENS NEW BRANCH IN CORONA DEL MAR

SAN DIEGO – February 8, 2011 – Union Bank, N.A., has announced the opening of a new branch in Corona del Mar, located at 2865 East Coast Highway, Suite 100. The full-service branch is overseen by Martha Pineda, who is responsible for leading the branch’s team of bankers, creating a customer base and developing new relationships with consumers and small businesses throughout Corona del Mar area.
Joining Pineda is Paulette Kolbenschlag, relationship manager for The Private Bank. In her role, Kolbenschlag provides comprehensive wealth management solutions for individuals, families, foundations and endowments, as well as professional service firms. In addition, Priority Banking Relationship Manager Shawn Miller oversees the branch’s Priority Banking unit. He focuses on managing and advising San Diego’s affluent families, individuals, and local entrepreneurs on complex banking and investment needs.

Pineda has 30 years of banking experience and an extensive knowledge of the financial service industry. She is active in her community, serving as a member of Kiwanis International, the Kiwanis Santa Ana Community Services Committee and Kiwanis International’s Young Children Priority One, which provides services to developmentally disabled youth. She is also a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Orange County.
Kolbenschlag has extensive experience managing client relationships and maintains an active role in the community. She is a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Capistrano Valley Symphony and the Dana Point Yacht Club. Kolbenschlag earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, and she also attended the Pacific Coast School of Banking. Prior to Union Bank, Kolbenschlag was a Private Bank relationship manager at US Bank.
Miller has been named a Priority Banking relationship manager, and he will help provide clients with customized financial solutions to meet their banking needs. He previously worked as a personal banker at Citibank. Miller is involved with the Youth Group of St. Kilan’s Church in Mission Viejo and looks forward to becoming involved with the Corona del Mar community.
