UNION BANK CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF VAN NUYS BRANCH

Van Nuys, October 12, 2011 – Union Bank, N.A., celebrated the official grand opening of its new full-service banking office in Van Nuys. Associate Director of the Office of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Yolanda Fuentes; Edwardo Martinez, representative of the office of Councilman Tony Cardenas; John Popoch, representative of the office of Assemblyman's Bob Blumenfield; Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Board Member Nury Martinez; and representatives from the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Union Bank Executive Vice President Michael Feldman, head of California Branch Banking; Van Nuys Branch Manager Alen Sayadof; and Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Leticia Aguilar in the ribbon cutting ceremony on October 7.
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to service the needs of our valued customers in the Van Nuys community," said Aguilar. "Our new local branch allows us to further strengthen our relationships with local residents and businesses by providing convenient access to our best-in-class banking services."
To honor its commitment to the Van Nuys community, and to support local education and community efforts, Union Bank donated $4,500 to three local organizations - the Van Nuys High School Band, New Economics for Women and the Van Nuys Boys Scouts of America. Representatives from each organization, along with community, business and city leaders, were on hand to acknowledge the bank’s ongoing support of the local community.
