UNION BANK ADDS THREE INDUSTRY VETERANS TO MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR LANDMARK OPENING OF FIRST RETAIL BRANCH IN SONOMA
For Immediate Release
Sonoma, Calif. - April 8, 2010 -- Union Bank, N.A., announced today the new core management team for its first full-service banking office in Sonoma, scheduled to open May 10, 2010. Molly Fedorchak joins as branch manager, Tim Warren will serve as Private Banking manager, and Ulku Barrett will be the Priority Banking manager.
Fedorchak will direct all aspects of branch operations, while growing the bank's customer base and developing new relationships with individuals and small businesses throughout Sonoma County. Warren will serve as relationship manager for the Private Bank, providing comprehensive wealth management services, including banking, trust and estate services, investments, and wealth planning. These services are provided to wealthy individuals and families, as well as professional service firms, including law firms, medical practices and CPA firms. Barrett will oversee the branch's Priority Banking center, focused on managing and advising Sonoma's mass affluent families, individuals, and local entrepreneurs on complex banking and investment needs.
"With a 146-year history of community-based banking, the opportunity to bring our banking services directly to the doorstep of our existing and new clients in the Sonoma-area marks an exciting milestone for the bank," commented Senior Vice President and Market President Brian Hawley. "Molly, Tim, and Ulku bring a wealth of experience and deep, local community connections; together, they will bring Union Bank's full-service and high-touch approach to banking to Sonoma County," continued Hawley.
Molly Fedorchak has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry working with Sonoma-area banks. She started her career with Glendale Federal Bank in 1993, when it was situated in same location as Union Bank's new branch.
Most recently, Fedorchak was employed with Sonoma Valley Bank as vice president of business development. Additionally, she is actively engaged in community service, serving as a member of Sonoma Valley's Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis of Sonoma Plaza board of directors, and the advisory committee for Becoming Independent.
Tim Warren's extensive experience managing relationships, along with his understanding of Sonoma County's culture, will prove to be a great asset to the Private Bank. He brings a great deal of experience to his current position, which spans nearly 25 years working as a wealth manager for institutions including Wells Fargo, where he worked with private banking and institutional clients, while also identifying and growing new relationships from prospective customers.
Highlights from Ulku Barrett's banking career include more than 10 years of employment with Bank of America where she worked as a wealth management banker assisting affluent clients with banking services to help them succeed financially. Her proven track record as a leader and an effective champion in meeting customer needs and acquiring new accounts equips Barrett to lead Sonoma's Priority Banking center, and help the bank achieve its goals in Sonoma County.
Upon the grand opening in May, the Sonoma branch will also include a Customer Service manager, Financial Services officer, two tellers, and one representative from Union Banc Investment Services (UBIS). For more information about Union Bank's Sonoma branch visit www.unionbank.com.
