The community outreach team is one of the branches of the Corporate Social Responsibility division. The community outreach team maximizes the talent and availability of MUFG Union Bank, N.A., employees with the needs of low- and moderate-income communities. This team works closely with nonprofit partners to heighten the Bank’s presence in the communities that it serves. The community outreach team helps promote employee engagement in volunteer opportunities, such as:
  • Offering financial education workshops in partnership with nonprofit partners in disadvantaged communities
  • Connecting bank employees with community-based organizations to maximize volunteer opportunities
  • Coordinating senior-level officer board service with nonprofit organizations

We are dedicated to fostering economic sustainability in the communities we serve by promoting employee volunteerism throughout our footprint.

We are active participants in Bank On, a national collaborative initiative that includes the Office of the Governor, local governments, federal bank agencies, community-based organizations, and financial institutions to help unbanked and underbanked consumers access financial services.

As part of Bank On, we offer low-cost products, financial education, and financial coaching to help unbanked residents in the following cities become banked and join the financial mainstream.
