Notes from Annette Billingsley
Every day, our Community Development Finance (CDF) group has the opportunity to work with partners who are creating high-quality affordable housing that competes on a national and international scale. Recently, ten of our clients' outstanding contributions in affordable housing were recognized with accolades from peers within our industry and beyond.
Our partners at BRIDGE Housing, MidPen Housing, and Resources for Community Development are Finalists in the Urban Land Institute’s Global Awards for Excellence. Through these awards, our clients' contributions have been recognized for providing developments of a caliber that competes not only on the West Coast, but around the world.
From serving an urban community with new construction to preserving an existing property to meeting the needs of families and seniors, seven CDF clients are Finalists in the Affordable Housing Finance Readers' Choice Awards: A Community of Friends' New Directions Sepulveda I and II, Capitol Hill Housing's The Jefferson, Community HousingWorks' Poway Villas, Jamboree Housing's The Studios at Hotel Berry, Resources for Community Development's Clinton Commons, Satellite Affordable Housing Associates' Merritt Crossing, and The John Stewart Co.'s Hunters View Phase I.
In addition, AMCAL Multi-Housing's and A Community of Friends' Avenida Villas has been recognized with several awards including Project of the Year - Special Needs at the Annual Affordable Housing Awards.
We would like to congratulate these and all of our partners for their leadership, excellence, and innovation in bringing affordable housing to communities today and helping to preserve it well into the future.
