Union Bank and KSBW 8 Seek Nominations for Monterey County’s 12th Annual Salute to Small Business® Awards

MONTEREY, CA (August 22, 2017) — Union Bank, with KSBW 8, today announced that nominations are now being accepted for Monterey County’s 12th annual Salute to Small Business awards program, which honors small businesses in Monterey County for the important contributions they make in our local communities. Nominations may be submitted through September 15. This year’s winners will be honored at an awards ceremony on October 25.

Presented by Union Bank and KSBW 8, Salute to Small Business will honor small businesses in the following categories: Agribusiness; Business Professionals; Entrepreneur of the Year; Minority-owned Business; Nonprofit 501c3; Hospitality; and Woman-owned Business. All of the winners will be featured in a television spot scheduled to air on KSBW 8.

Salute to Small Business nomination forms are available at Union Bank branches in Monterey County or online at unionbank.com/salute2biz.The bank has eight branches in Monterey County located at: 26380 Carmel Rancho Lane in Carmel; 495 Washington Street and 1400 Munras Avenue in Monterey; 580 Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove; 8071 San Miguel Canyon Road in Prunedale; 1890 North Main Street and 1001 South Main Street in Salinas; and 695 Front Street in Soledad.

Companies or individuals may nominate themselves or another company in one of the seven categories. To be eligible, companies must be at least three years old with headquarters in Monterey County. They must also be independent and privately-owned, and have annual sales of no greater than $5 million.
